American River Conservancy offers Traverse Creek Walk
Hugh Safford returns to lead this walk to discuss the geoecology of serpentine rocks, soils and vegetation and the effects these rocks have on soils and plants. At this time of year, we should see a nice array of wildflowers as well. Hugh has beendoing research on the ecology of serpentine habitats since 1998.
