Summer Fun for Singles

Hits : 3249
Thursday, August 18 2005, 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Add to your summer fun by attending Party in the Park!, at Lion’s Park on Cedar Ravine, Thursday, August 18th from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy great conversation, fabulous food, live background music and entertainment while you mingle with other single men and women under a canopy of trees and early stars. It’s the perfect summer venue and takes the guesswork out of knowing who is unattached and available!

“There was an ad in the paper recently, placed by someone who had a brief conversation with a person at Sweetie Pie’s. They were interested but did not see that person again to make a connection and that's why they went the extra mile to make contact. It was interesting to see, especially after many conversations with friends about the challenges of meeting available bachelors and bachelorettes to date or share common interests with. So, in order to make meeting other singles easy and fun, we decided it was time for our own local, big time event!,” said Reneé Hargrove, Party in the Park committee member.

Party admission is $5, which covers expenses. Diane Wilkinson Catering will serve an assortment of grilled kabobs, salad and bread for $5/person. Live music and fun things to do will be provided for free. Okay, now here’s where you have to get brave and pucker up…you might want to give the kissing booth a whirl. The proceeds from that will go to a designated charity, which partygoers will vote on.

Dress is casual and please be 21 or beyond. Who knows, this may be the perfect summer adventure and you might meet someone really special. Don’t miss out on Party in the Park on Thursday, August 18th! For more information or to RSVP (highly recommended), call Reneé at (530) 295-9486.
